The Ohio State University Journalism graduate with published/broadcast experience at The Lantern and Buckeye TV. I aspire to write and produce the future of digital media.

About me

I’ve gained experience in AP-style journalism by working at The Lantern's Arts and Life desk as the primary comedy beat reporter. I also found work at Buckeye TV in production, which involved tasks ranging from operating the cameras to directing from the production booth. In both experiences, I worked with various personalities and interests, resulting in published articles and broadcast work. I have internship experience at Scott Social: Social Media Management Agency, where I was responsible for tasks such as digital content organization, SEO optimization, and blog writing. I now work as a Social Media/Email Marketing Manager for CC’s Retreats, a vacation rental company.

After two years at the University of Tennessee’s College of Journalism, I transferred to The Ohio State University, where I found a renewed passion for journalism by becoming a published reporter for The Lantern under the Arts and Life desk. I’ve also participated in producing Buckeye TV for the campus area and interning for Scott Social on a national playing field. I’m eager to keep learning about the world of media and production in the following year, with every day being an adventure in this industry.

My experiences

Beginning in 2019, I interned for the Pataskala Post as a reporter and head of social media in my hometown as a program through my high school for students to gain early work experience in a field of their interest. I continued with journalism at the University of Tennessee, where I worked for a fitness and nutrition company as a blogger. I wrote in a column style with the blog, sharing tips and tricks for nutrition, fashion, and fitness.

After transferring to The Ohio State University, I began writing at The Lantern as a freelancer. The next semester, I would be moved to the Arts and Life desk as the comedy beat writer, where my skill in AP style writing was expanded. My experience at The Lantern led me to interview new and diverse people in the Columbus, OH area.

Beginning work at Buckeye TV taught me new editing and production skills. I spent time in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the production booth. Production, although new to me, is something I caught on to quickly, leading to the production of a short news video to accompany an article I wrote at The Lantern for Lantern TV.

I am a former Spring 2025 intern at Scott Social, a female-run and operated social media management company that works fully remote nationwide. I’m fluent in SEO optimization for social media and blogs for search engines/Pinterest engagement.

I hold the title of Social Media Manager and Head of Email Marketing at CC’s Retreats, an Airbnb company that has homes in Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Michigan. I’ve been rebuilding their brand image and optimizing all things content to gain a social following from the ground up. This is a small, female-owned business where I’ve learned skills in entrepreneurship, networking, and digital marketing.
